Integrity and Transparency

“I believe that every citizen has the right to petition their government on any matter in which they have concern and that they have the right to know what their government is doing.” . Listen, simply stated, the business of government must be conducted in a manner that is open, honest, transparent, accessible and accountable.

That is why I have supported the elimination of time limits on how long citizens could speak when they wish to address the Board of County Commissioners. However, filibustering is still not allowed. In addition, I whole heartedly supported new processes that improved notification to citizens about issues in their community, posting of meetings, easy/timely electronic access to information and the development of new ethics programs.
